Our Funding

We are a private non-profit with 501c3 status. We rely on VT state and community grants, community appropriations from Shaftsbury & North Bennington, and programming grant/foundation support. However, our Community donors are what keeps our programming, property, and Community Center going.

When you visit the Lake, attend a program or event we ask for a donation. These donations no matter how large or small add up and keep us operating year round.

VOLUNTEERS

Our work at the lake is based in our community. Our community is who makes the lake. Volunteers can get involved in So many ways and we could not operate with out them. Everyone benefits from joining our amazing community. So many great ways to be involved with us at the lake.

Our volunteers receive free t-shirts and entry to Programs-/events. And are recognized in many ways throughout the year.
